Doubtful Sound is the second of Fiordland's easily accessible Fiords. Doubtful Sound is five times larger than Milford Sound. Often described as the "Sounds of Silence". This is the most remote experience out of Doubtful Sound and Milford Sounds. Doubtful Sound is a beautiful serene wilderness; a pod of Dolphins is always in the Fiord so your chances of seeing them are dramatically better in Doubtful Sound than in Milford Sound - some cruises offer the opportunity to fish and kayak whilst others are purely sightseeing orientated.
